"I have a genuine love for filmmaking. I cannot express how much joy I feel when I look through a camera's lens and see the world in a whole new light."
My name is Steven Abriani and I am a filmmaker. Born in Euclid, Ohio, I took a chance attending Loyola University of Chicago to study film production — and never looked back.
For four years I studied the ins and outs of film and multimedia production — from traveling to Santiago, Chile for documentary work, to completing two Independent Studies producing my own short films, to pitching and writing my own commercials. By graduation I had taken over forty film classes and been part of making over fifty films.
I was hired as a multimedia intern for Loyola's marketing and communications department, responsible for filming and editing PSAs for the university's YouTube channel and providing freelance photography coverage of campus events.
